Deone completed her articles under Schalk Pieterse and was thereafter appointed as a tax attorney within the firm. She specialises in tax dispute resolution and tax litigation. Her vast experience in tax dispute resolution has enabled her to expedite the process, and swiftly detect and address any form of non-compliance. Deone is also a co-lecturer at IITF in the Tax Dispute Resolution Course.

She has experience in cross-border taxation, with a specific focus on transfer pricing. She regularly assists Dr Erasmus with international tax disputes in various African countries involving multinational enterprises.
